The People Behind Green Acorn Ecology

Green Acorn Ecology is run by two specialist ecologists who are genuinely passionate about UK wildlife. When you work with us, you deal directly with experienced people who care about the outcome.

Lia

Founder & Consultant Ecologist

Lia founded Green Acorn Ecology in 2025 after building extensive experience within ecological consultancy. Holding a degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Oxford and a FISC Level 3 qualification, she specialises in botany, habitat assessment and Biodiversity Net Gain. With experience across a wide range of ecological projects, Leah combines strong technical expertise with a practical, client-focused approach, helping to deliver proportionate ecological solutions that support planning and development objectives.

John

Consultant Ecologist

John is a Consultant Ecologist with experience in protected species surveys, ecological fieldwork and Ecological Clerk of Works support. Having worked across a range of highways, rail, reservoir and infrastructure projects, he brings a practical and solutions-focused approach to ecological consultancy. John works effectively with clients, contractors and project teams to deliver ecological requirements while supporting wider project objectives, combining strong technical understanding with extensive hands-on field experience.
